It is 12:10AM in Brooklyn. It is September 21, 2011. Today is the day an innocent man dies. America boasts to the World that it is a Land of the Free, a land where Peace echos through the streets. Where the tiniest voice will be heard. Where all will be given a helping hand. Where Justice is blind and judges those only by facts, never by the bias views of others. All of this looks so pretty on paper doesn’t it? This country was created on falsehood and lies, built on Death using bones for bricks and blood for cement. America is a country where only the powerful are heard, Justice sees all and makes decisions based on who has greener dollar bills. Troy Davis is an innocent man. Wrongfully accused of a crime he DID NOT commit. No evidence points to him meanwhile all the evidence pointed to Casey Anthony who mercilessly butchered her own daughter and  she gets to rest her head on her soft pillows knowing she walked away with MURDER. How is it that after 10 years we are STILL murdering innocent Men, Women and Children in the Middle East for 1 day of injustice? 9/11 has been justified but yet we are still in the Middle East, bloodthirsty as ever before. America TERRORIZES. America uses Terrorism on the Middle East. To gain control of Oil and to intimidate  Middle Eastern governments to conform to our governmental structure. America uses Terrorism within it own borders. Suppressing those of Color within the Judicial system. They intimidate us of Color to keep us in check and not to forget our “Please and Thank you’s” and “May I have another, Sir”. They place a Black man in the Oval Office but let him have no power. Just a dog in the window. They have abolished Slavery but let a Black man be accused of a crime and he is automatically guilty?! Now DON’T tell me that America is Brave and Beautiful. America is a Whore who hides behind a painted face and perfumed satchels. AMERICA IS A LIE. Wake up and smell the chains PEOPLE! A pretty prison is STILL PRISON. Today, I mourn the death of Troy Davis. A Tear for Troy Davis, a Cry for Innocence Lost.
